Automated parsing of invoices – Background

An organization’s emissions are to a large extent connected to activities, which in turn are connected to invoices, such as the fuel consumption of company vehicles, energy consumed by buildings, purchased goods and materials and so on. Connecting sustainability information to each of these invoices leads to auditable, traceable information with high accuracy, but is too time consuming to manage for a human. The platform is developed in Go.

Who are we looking for?

We want to develop an easy to use interface where the end-user can drag-and-drop of a set of invoices of the same kind (e.g., electricity bills), where the important information is parsed automatically.

The invoices do not always look identical and are sometimes machine readable but sometimes just photos of the original invoice, so the solution needs to be able to parse information from different types of similar documents, and identify invoices where parsing was not possible.

Required experience: 3+ years

Project period: part-time, up to 4 weeks, 10 – 20 hours per week

Type of engagement: It is a part-time freelance contract.

Hourly pay: 25 EUR / hour

Methodologies: Agile / Scrum

Level of English: Good; Talking, Reading, and Writing

Place of work: remote home office, for the client in Sweden
