Software Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Position Responsibilities:

– Automation testing a major plus
– Always ensure we deliver quality products and services
– Black box/white box/grey box tasks
– Run and create test cases
– Log and track bugs and features
– Web testing
– Backend API and Front-End testing
– Using tools to verify defects and features. (Internal tools and MySQL)
– Document and define procedures
– Utilize and research tools to enhance QA department
– Work closely with IT Team, Product, Developers, Customer Support and Operations
– Lead QA cycles for certain projects
– Mobile application testing (not hardware testing)

Qualifications:

– Knowledge of automation tools such as Calabash, Codeception, Selenium or similar
– Associates of Science in Computer Science/ related field or accelerated program
– Related experience in Quality Assurance or Computer Science
– RDB knowledge and experience (MySQL, SQL, Oracle, DB2)
– Knowledge and experience in UX/UI testing
– Familiar with Agile (scrum) and SDLC methodologies.
– Familiar with Product Life Cycles.
– Experience logging bugs, and writing/following test plans and test cases
– Experience following spec docs, mockups, and wireframes
– Experience testing on multiple platforms and websites (iOS, Android, Windows, Mac)
– Excellent communicator – both written and orally
– Self-motivated and eager to learn (and teach!)
– Detail-oriented problem solver who can resolve issues independently
– Personally accountable for the quality and timeliness of work
– Analysis with the ability to research and write excellent Steps-To-Reproduce
– Troubleshooting experience with hardware and software
– Passion for new technologies and customer experience

Short description of the project task: Ongoing support of the software development lifecycle with automation focus of QA

Required experience: 3+ years

Type of engagement: It is a long-term and full-time freelance agreement.

Project period: ASAP, long-term, min 12 months extendable for another year. Part-time is possible for the first month, afterwards a full-time engagement is expected.

Hourly pay:
25 EUR / hour (for part-time, for the first month)
30 EUR / hour (for full-time)
possible to grow depending on the quality and delivery

Methodologies: Agile / Scrum
