Web App 3D Engineer

We are looking for a web-focused 3D integration specialist who can deliver photo-realism, robust data integrations, and scalable architecture. Unreal/Unity/Blender skills are a bonus, but the key capability is turning heavy 3D content into fast, premium-grade web applications—with SSGI expertise as a standout edge.

Required experience: 4 to 5+ years

Project starts ASAP, long-term, min 12 months extendable for another year. Part-time is possible for the first month, afterwards a full-time engagement is expected.

Type of engagement: It is a long-term and full-time freelance contract.

Hourly pay:

30 EUR / hour (for part-time, for the first month)
35 EUR / hour (for full-time)
possible to grow depending on the quality and delivery

Core Mission

Build a photorealistic, high-performance web application that fuses web-native 3D, Unreal-generated imagery, and backend data integrations into a scalable apartment selector used by developers, brokers, and buyers.

Required Competencies

1. Web-Native 3D Engineering (Primary Requirement)

  • Deep experience delivering cutting-edge 3D on the web, including:
  • Three.js (must-have)
  • WebGPU fluency for next-gen rendering
  • Experience with real-time SSGI (Screen-Space Global Illumination) in Three.js – major plus
  • Strong grasp of PBR workflows
  • Lighting, exposure, and post-processing calibration for photorealistic visuals
  • Asset compression pipelines (KTX2, Draco, Meshopt)
  • Advanced GPU performance awareness (memory budgeting, shader pipelines, frame pacing)

2.⁠ ⁠Full Web Application Integration

  • Hands-on experience building robust, scalable web products:
  • React/Next.js or equivalent
  • Modular architecture for POIs, time-of-day sliders, metadata/CRM hooks, and unit selection logic
  • Ability to push fluid UX at scale—<1s initial load, responsive across all devices
  • Experience deploying iframe-ready applications for enterprise customers

3.⁠ ⁠Systems Integration & API Engineering

  • A strong differentiator, especially for real-estate workflows:
  • Experience integrating with VITEC, CRM/ERP platforms, or other property management systems
  • Comfort with REST/GraphQL pipelines
  • Structured data handling: unit info, pricing, availability, BIM-derived metadata
  • Knowledge of secure data transport and role-based access control
